One woman dies every 80 seconds from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.  

The American Heart Association realized this urgent threat, and through their Go Red For Women program have made tremendous strides for the health of women.  Death in women due to heart disease and stroke has decreased by more than 30% due to research and education funded through donations from members of our community to Go Red For Women.

Yet, with all these successes, 1 in 3 women still die from heart disease and stroke each year. And over 40% of women still don’t recognized heart disease as their leading health threat.
