Ivy Tech Community College Bloomington
200 Daniels Way | Bloomington, IN 47404
Did you know that stroke is the 5th leading cause of death among U.S. adults?
Co-Chairs Jennie Vaughan and Elizabeth Thompson, along with the American Heart & Stroke Association, invite you to the Strokes for Stroke – Painting with a Purpose Event.
Attendees will have the opportunity to paint on a canvas, wine glass, or mug while being instructed by local artist and Co-Chair of the 2018 Bloomington Go Red For Women Luncheon, Elizabeth Thompson. We ask guests try to paint with their non-dominate hand to imitate the challenges stroke survivors face as they recover and have to re-learn basic tasks.
The event will feature stroke education, special thank you gift, wine, and hors d’oeuvres . Guests artwork will be on display at the 2018 Bloomington Go Red For Women Luncheon as a reminder of the warning signs of a stroke and the critical nature of acting FAST to call and seek treatment.
Please register and reserve your spot below! Tickets are $30. Please note, seating is limited.
Guests may park in any open space in the west and north lots. Please plan to enter the building at the Northwest Entrance #4 (marked on the outside of the building). Upon entering the building, guests will be welcomed and directed to top of the stairs, Classroom D201.
